Led side indicatorsAs the black with red color scheme seems to work nicely, I ordered some replacement indicators for the C1 through ebay.
Installation is a bit trickier then you might expect. Led have to be connected in the right polarity and unfortunatly (at least on my C1) the wires were not correct for the led lights. But we'll start at the beginning. Removing the side lights. Push the light towards the front of the car and it will come out.
Remove the tape and get the wires out of the duct.
Remove the light from the connector and do something to protect the paint work when soldering. I used a bit of plastic and my trusty ducttape.
Then the exciting bit, cut the wires, strip them, and solder them back together, switching the + and -.
Then put all the tape back and plug the light on.
Put the light back in and you're done.
The light a bit bigger then the standard side lights, looks much nicer in my opinion and with the 4 leds gives enough light. |
